Bridges is a new way of connecting people and things based on topics

Purpose

Bridges is the only place you can easily find people who have the same interests in topics you like.

After finding people with the same interests, you can share Chat,Links,Posts, and Articles, and even Requests for something topic related. again - All in once place.

Bridges grows with you, if the Topic does not already exist, you can create a new Topic for others to join and share an interest.

Other (soon to be obsolete) social media tools are like random news feeds and expose too much of your personal information to the world and show you posts you don't really care much about.

Three basic Types of Topic Interest

  • Receptive: People who are "receptive" to obtaining goods, services,or attending events relating to a topic (e.g. people who want someone to mow their lawn, someone to clean their gutters, bands looking for a bass player, etc.)

  • Providers: Some people are interested in providing goods, services,or attending events relating to a topic (e.g. people willing to do lawn mowing, gutter cleanings, looking to play bass for a band)

  • Both Receptive and/or Provider: Some people are interested in providing goods, services,or attending events relating to a topic (e.g. people willing to do lawn mowing, gutter cleanings, looking to play bass for a band)

Topic, Goods, Services, Events - What's the difference?

  • Topic: A topic is the general theme, message or idea expressed in a speech or written work. For purposes here is can also be a community of interest. Topics must be grouped in to sub groups such as Books:Fiction,History,Art,etc. or Computer Equipment:Monitors,Keyboards,Hard drives

  • Good: Something you can buy and keep related to a topic - such as a lawnmower.

  • Service: A one time action that you can't keep related to a topic -such as lawn mowing.

  • Event: A location and time for persons interested in a topic to share an event such as a yard sale, fund raising bake sale, community cleanup event, or party.

Rules

  • Do not post inappropriate topics, or post topics in the wrong areas, or your account could be suspended or removed.
  • If there are more than 7 topics already in a folder, don't make things confusing. Instead create a new sub-topic and move your new topic under it like you would with hard drive folders.
