We decide how your personal data is used, so under UK data protection law we are its "controller".

We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising profiles.
AI services
Some of what Plan does is drafted by AI: reading your pitch aloud, suggesting wording, the brand kit's writing and images, and guessing what your business sells. To do that, we send what you've written about your business to OpenAI and Google (Gemini), through their business services. Under those services they don't use it to train their models. Check anything AI drafts for you before you rely on it.
Who else handles your data
We use these companies to run Plan. Each only uses your data to provide their service to us, under a contract with us.
- ClickSend: texts your sign-in codes
- Mailgun (EU region): sends our emails
- OpenAI and Google: the AI services above
- Companies House: the public register, if you look up your company
OpenAI, Google and ClickSend may handle data outside the UK. Where they do, it's protected by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge.
How long we keep it
- Your account and plan: for as long as you use Plan. Ask us and we'll delete them (we remove who you are and everything you wrote; anonymous numbers may stay in our statistics).
- A sign-in you didn't finish: 7 days
- Sign-in codes: 1 day
- Visits that never led to an account, a waitlist sign-up or a message: 90 days
- A waitlist sign-up you didn't confirm: 7 days
- Messages from the contact form: 2 years
- Backups: 30 days. Something deleted is gone from the backups once those older than its deletion have expired.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data (we'll send it all, in one file)
- correct it
- delete it
- stop or limit using it, or object to how we use it
- move it to another service
You can withdraw your consent to tips and offers at any time, from the link in any of those emails or by emailing us.
Email corporate@plan.business. We'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
